Course provides an education on the principles of effective light design in relation to translucent polycarbonate applications. You’ll learn specific techniques for overcoming inherent problems when lighting resins. This program reviews environmental considerations for feature lighting applications and shows how resins specifically contribute to the overall sustainability of a project.

This course will describe the unique opportunity interior designers have to influence carbon emissions of the built space through a circular approach to renovation. Discuss strategies to reduce the impact of commercial furniture and other finishes by identifying key product categories. Share examples of outstanding impact in circular interior renovation through case studies. Offer key strategies designers can implement in their workflow to pursue circularity in specification, project management, and supplier collaboration.

CEU 4 Structural Ceilings in Data Centers and Beyond 1 AIA / 1 IDCEC credit

Course will explore key definitions, recent trends, the importance of structural ceilings, energy-efficient ceiling solutions, and the value of collaboration with other trades. In this course, participants will understand how building materials such as structural grid can lead to future flexibility and annual cost savings. This course will also review uses of structural ceilings outside of data centers.
