NDID Canstruction

Canstruction® combines the competitive spirit of a design/build competition with a unique way to help feed hungry people in our community. The event consists of competing teams, led by interior designers and architects, showcasing their talents by designing giant sculptures made entirely out of canned foods. The structures are built in one day and are on display at West Acres for one week. At the close of the exhibition all of the food used in the structures is donated to the Great Plains Food Bank which serves North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota. Canstruction® is one of the most positive forms of public outreach to the Fargo-Moorhead Community.

Canstruction, Inc. was founded in 1992 to unite the interior design, architecture, engineering and construction industry through a unique and fun medium that would provide canned food to hunger relief organizations.*

Since its inception, Canstruction has grown to become one of the largest and most consistent canned food contributors in the world. Canstruction events have been held in over 150 cities worldwide donating over 25 million pounds of food to feed the hungry.*

NDID is proud to be the holder of the local charter and to host the local event for the Fargo-Moorhead community.

Canstruction's Mission: To feed and inspire the world - one can at a time. *
